Change Management
What is Change Management?
Change Management is concerned with managing the
process of change in an organization. These changes can be as simple as
implementing an alternative process that impact a single individual or as
major as implementing a complete new strategic direction.
How can Change Management benefit
the business?
To survive and prosper in today's competitive market
place an organization needs to continually adapt to internal as well as
external - competitive, economic - pressures. Staying still is no longer
an option.
The problem with change is that in nearly every
situation it affects the relationship between one or more groups of stakeholders
and the organization. In most circumstances it affects the people that
work within the organization and it is a natural initial reaction to
resist change. This resistance can take many forms and can delay or even
stop changes that management sees as essential. A proper change process
that allows management to recognize the affect of change on people and
manger the complete life cycle can ameliorate the problems associated with
change.
How we can help
We can help you
through the change process by providing in-house training courses that can
provide a route map for managers to implement change of all kinds in the
context of the business need and culture. We can also run courses that
will explain to those affected by change how to cope with these affects
and find personal and business reasons to support the new approach. If you
would prefer we can simply facilitate seminars that allow those implementing
and affected by the change to discuss the issues and arrive at a mutually
agreed action plan.
However, if you
want more hands-on assistance we can apply a project management
approach and help you over the complete change life cycle from
identifying the need for change, through the actual change process, to embedding
the new situation into the organizational culture.
